Look at what I just got!

Still waiting to see if they can find that power supply. Not too impatient but...

And of course ... nice find Andrew! Fingers crossed on the power supply!

She's apparently going to see some other family tomorrow and it might be with one of them. I know I can go buy one or scrounge one from somewhere. I think it's just a 15 volt AC adaptor but If they have it that will be handy. If not the price should go down a bit.

If I'm not mistaken the AC adaptor is still used with the Speed Box, or is it? I don't have either of course.

Nice find. That Nagaoka is one seriously awesome cartridge for its price. Totally changed the way I hear my LPs. Very forgiving on vinyl that's been played a bit.

So I have been enjoying this table for a while now, but since I bought it from my friend she's been talking about stereo systems. specifically console stereos...but at the same time she has been complaining about space. While keeping my eyes open for a nice one for her I've been trying to educate her a bit on why consoles might not be such a good idea, plus they aren't really that space effective. But she does like the relative simplicity and the look, at least of the MCM ones.

I had a brainstorm today. I've got too many systems around and a lot of stuff doesn't get used, for example my Sony HMP-70. I love this thing, but it literally is gathering dust. I showed her a picture of it today and she loved it, plus her partner's birthday is coming up in about 3 days. I think she's going to buy this from me for about the same price she sold me the Pro-Ject for. With the style that this thing oozes I could get more, and it doesn't work half bad either but if she wants it I think it will be a good home. I'll find her a decent set of speakers to go with it too. :)

Montycat, you DID get the power supply?? Freakin' sweet.

And that Sony, lord, that's a classy looking .....whatever it is. I'd rock that in a minute. Good karma at work here.

Yes sure I did get one or rather two. I ordered one through a local dealer ($28) but before it arrived I found a compatible 15v adaptor at Free Geek for $2. :)

I've been using the table for about 2 weeks and it sounds great. Pic coming...

That Sony is a looker for sure, looks like both parties will be happy when all is said and done!

It's their first but the reissue for RSD. From long before my friend Paul replaced Lenny. ;)

Cool, I have "Warrior on the Edge of Time" and those guys were tapped into something very odd. Good record, just have to be in the mood.

That's a beautiful table.
Stopped by to say thank you for your advice to increase the tracking weight on my table. It clearly sounds better.:music:

I love that Sony console! How do the M-60s sound with it?

Who can remember? That was so 3 years ago. ;) And I don't have the Koss anymore.

The Sony would look and probably sound great with my Paradigm Atom v3 but she can't have those. The veneer colour is very close. I have a basic pair of Sony for now, but I think Mini Advents might be nice.
