Look what Fedex brought today

Fired her up today, checked DC offset, all's well. Need to get a baseline so I know what works and what doesn't. Everything works, but the scope, just like Anthony said.

This thing sounds sweet. I hooked it up with my DQ-10s on the front channels, EPI 100s on the rear. My Dayton sub joined the party too. Vari-Matrix on, crank that dimension knob, and Rush R30 in the DVD player. Whoa. :rockon:

I think you're causing me a major fit of GAS (gear acquisition syndrome) by sending this 4400 up here, Anthony. :D

Lol. So, sounds like you'll be looking for a 4400 soon, eh? :D

I've owned alot of different Marantz receivers over the years but IMO this one is the king. When all the dust settles this guy will be paired with a Micro Seiki DDX-1000 and ESS AMT 1D's. Not bad for an office/ billiards room setup.. :yes:

Gonna just run it stereo? I noticed that it was in 2 channel power mode, had some serious authority driving the DQs in that mode. You should really give the Vari-Matrix 4 channel a shot. It's cool.
 
Although it is rated at 125wpc in stereo mode most who have rebuilt one are stating figures of around 200+wpc.

For now I just have the two ess speakers but I know where I can find another pair. :D
 
So, you guys tricked us, & it's actually Anthony's, huh? :scratch2: No matter, I'm still just as jealous, since I still don't have one. :tongue: :D

Someday I hope to find one of those and run it in the 40' x 30' lab I teach in with a Large Advent in each corner and my TEAC 3340S playing quad music. Can you hear me now?

I'll watch this project with interest.
