Look what I've got!

Anthony Gallo Reference SA power amp!
I don't need it as a subwoofer amplifier (which it is designed to be), but after reading manual (sometimes it helps :thmbsp:) I discovered that this beast can run in full range mode!

Output Power: 2 x 160 watts RMS @ 8 ohms
20Hz - 20kHz (stereo mode)

2 x 250 watts RMS @ 4 ohms
20Hz - 20kHz (stereo mode)

450 watts RMS @ 8 ohms
20Hz - 20kHz (mono mode)

650 watts RMS @ 4 ohms
20Hz - 20kHz (mono mode)
Distortion: 0.08% stereo, 0.1% mono
(low-pass @ 100Hz, level and xover at max, EQ at 0dB) :thmbsp::thmbsp::thmbsp:

May be there is use for it after all :scratch2:
Besides-it's like brand new (box-well three actually, manual)
Wow!

Real nice Vlad!!

But what you really need is to purge yourself of that bothersome HT amp and processor downstairs and get back to 2-channel basics. I dunno, perhaps a nice SAE stack would work for you (j/k). :D

I know! I've been thinking about it lately. Not about SAE mind you! No offence, but I never liked the look-too weird for me.
But I was (and still am) seriously contemplating conversion to 2 channel.
Amplifier is easy-I can still keep my Emotiva and use only 2 channels or I have other choices for amplification. This Gallo is one of them.
Preamp is another story. It sounds good, but too complicated for 2 channel use (all that menus.....). So I'm thinking of getting Emotiva USP-1 or something similar. The reason is that I still want to have a subwoofer, thus need 2.1 preamplifier. USP-1 fits the bill, but there might be another choices :scratch2:
