Looking at these pair of JBL 110's... Good deal?

That's a great speaker, the 10" LE10H is a great driver. However, to me, for $350 you could hold out and find better JBLs. You could possibly try and negotiate as well.

What do you think is a fair price? Also, what is a driver? Is it just a speaker?
 
I'd try for more like $275-$300 but they would have to be in great shape. Seeing as the few eBay listings sold at $400 or less, 25% off for local sale isn't unreasonable.

Nice speakers, but too much money. $250 is a fair price imo. When you start getting in the $350 range, I'd be holding out for something a little better.
 
I doubt you'd be questioning the price if you've heard them. Certainly we all want to buy speakers as cheaply as possible. But I suspect if you asked anyone who owns a pair of these in this condition, if they'd sell them for this seller's asking price, they'd likely say no. And very few speakers are increasing in value as fast as the desirable vintage JBL models. I have the similar L96 Deltas and they play well above their position in the JBL hierarchy.

Sure, $200 would be a steal. But you're unlikely to find a better JBL for less than the asking price here. If they're local to you, I'd go have a listen.
 
If they would throw in those kick ass stands I wouldn't hesitate one bit.

I've had 4313b's and 4410’s with that ten inch woofer, and it does provide nice bass with a little kick to it.
 
I had a set that I had picked up for pretty short money, did a thorough rehab and sold for $400. Seller claims to have done a refoam, which is good but did they recap while cabs were open? Also intrigued by the cloth on the set for sale, possibly not OEM.
Many times I have wished I had never sold them, they are a great speaker.
My general rule of thumb is if the cost is not a burden to you financially, and you are satisfied they are not misrepresented then negotiate if possible and grab them.

If it were me I wouldn't go over $300. But then again I tend to be pretty conservative with my purchases. I don't look for deals of the centuries only or "steals", but I never buy at top dollar. In my opinion, $350-400 is probably top dollar for these.

They do look nice though, if you were going to pay market price for a pair these probably aren't that bad of a pair then.

PS: If it were me and I was looking for this speaker I'd be searching for these instead :)

If you pass, you may have regrets afterwards. I would try to negotiate the price down a bit and get the stands included. I like JBL's a lot and these would be nice to have.

I'm familiar with a re-foam but not a recap... What makes you think the cloth isn't OEM?
