Looking for a good tech near Northwest Arkansas

Just what the title says, I’m looking for a good tech close to NW Arkansas. I currently have a Harman Kardon HK730 needing attention but would love to find a close tech equally adept with tubes and ss.

Anyone know anybody?

You might try contacting Quiet. Believe he is located in NWA, and he has a LOT of gear based on some pics he has posted.
 
Finding good techs for vintage gear is a tough problem no matter where we live. I'm not aware of anybody in the NWA area, and only one in the Memphis area with whom I have no experience. I don't know if there is enough traffic in vintage audio to support a technician devoted solely to the type, but it seems there should be. This is a problem that is destined to become even worse.

Sweet post to see a fellow AK'er from NWA!!! Since Stereo One closed and lost the "TECH" finding service varies on what work you are needing. I have had vintage car radios repaired/reconditioned in Rogers. About 5 years ago I found a gentleman on the East side of Springdale that helped me with tubes for a super old Atwater-Kent. I have actually looking into learning the trade. With the growth and the melting pot of NWA gear is being brought in and someone needs to keep the fever alive!! PM me sometime!!
 
It's tough finding a good tech. I let a tech in Morrilton, AR look at a marantz 2252b that had no output. After talking to him for an hour I just knew he was gonna bang it out in no time. Well 3 or 4 months later and still nothing :/, I'm about to go get it and figure out how to fix it myself. Good techs are as hard to find as good horse ferriers lol.

Amen. Terrible, terrible. business. Pay up front, 14 months later work not done. Two amps, one kinda done. Said just send everything back. Well, that was a struggle in itself. Still waiting for a refund and not holding my breath. STAY AWAY!
 
If it's a pricy unit no need to pay up front . The tech will get paid one way or another. On the other hand I don't expect a tech to do a $300 job on a $200 unit without $150 upfront. Or they could find they have a museum of fine vintage gear unpaid for in the back room.
