Looking for a schemo, fresh meat on the bench

PGA and Rainwater!
I'll buy a copy from an AK'er or (if all else fails) Sam's Photofacts online. I need a paper for a model stamped "20023", aka Sam's 542-17. It's a 6V6 PP, uses a 5U4GB and a single 12AX7. Seems to be a Voice of Music. Anybody "holding"?

Thanks Carl! Yeah, talking to myself, hehehe.. If the subject line said "ST-70 for sale" or "I found this Fisher 500 for $5 and don't know where to begin", I'd generate some response for sure. This amp misses the radar for most folks since it doesn't have a bazillion watts (for the big amp=small penis guys). It did come with Mullards, which was a nice surprise. Sams will get my money online today, schemo cost is a third of what the amp cost me but essential and worth it. Audio Asylum seems to generate more tube info than here, maybe I'll post there. Have a good weekend, time to mow the yard.

I looked through mine last night - don't have it. A few online sources for copies ($5 or so...)

Thanks Tom. As cool as you are, I hate to ask you everytime. Don't like bugging you! Ordering now. Take it easy!

The Sams was a 20023, paid "The Man" so I can now have my fun. Turns out it was a Voice of Music console model 816 or 817. The 12AX7A is a Mullard, others were branded VM. The 6V6GTs are clear tops as is the 5U4GB. Quick as I clear a Magnavox or 2 from the bench, she gets her turn. Pics when I get them. Apparently this one was also offered in a 6BQ5 version, no? I bet that one is sweet. Don't see many folks working on these, they must have been lost in the "console mass market" of the early 60s. Any VM folks out there?

I have an SE 6bq5 VOM amp - not from a console - which is awaiting its turn for restoration. I'm slow, slow, slow so it may be awhile but I would like to hear this one so it'll happen some day.

I too am looking for the schematic for this one!

It *is* a V-M Voice of Music. 20023. Came out of a 1959 815 console (I think). 4x 6v6gt.

I cut the radio connector away and the big paper capacitor leading to it. Next is to kill the preamp connector.

Mine has a little hum to it.

VM 815 Schematics:

VM 815 amp and pre-amp schematics, if that is what you are looking for.
