I have a 12" woofer in need of a surround. Yes, only one - this passive sub has 2 drivers but one was replaced at some point and doesn't match the other so the pair of surrounds I bought doesn't fit this one.
The pair I got is from Rick Cobb (bless him) so that's out. He doesn't have anything this size with a slanted edge. Or didn't when I bought these earlier this year.
The MAT Electronics one is too big on the inner diameter and wouldn't have enough foam to get a good connection to the cone. Also I think they're flat and this cone is slanted.
Main Electronics has one that would fit on the outside and is angled but too small on the inside - too much overlap on the cone.
reconingspeakers.com RFK12 ANGL SM also has a small ID, 8.5", would be a 9/16" overlap on the cone. RFK12 ANGLE might actually work, it has a 9" ID. They will sell 1 surround for $10.
So where else to look?
Basket, flange to flange: 12-3/16 (OD of surround must be smaller than this)
Inner basket diameter: 11" (surround OD must be larger than this to glue to the basket)
Cone diameter: 9-5/8"
Cone edge: Slanted
