Looking for an electrical engineer to design a phono pre-amp!

So i've been playing with the idea of making a simple phono pre-amp that I could build myself. I thought about it some more and I figured if I could find someone who knows what they're doing and they could design a PCB with the best components and we could make a DIY kit for it. I also got a friend in industrial design that could make a really nice case for it as well. This all starts from the frustration of not being able to find a decent phono pre for a reasonable price, I figured the DIY route would be best.

So if anyone would like to design a PCB, I'm willing to get them printed and i'll build it myself and send you one completely free!

Basically, Make the best audiophile grade pre-amp we can with off the shelve parts.

I should have said in the beginning, I do production for military grade cameras so you can trust I have a steady soldering hand ;)

i have a ready made board here that i haven't got round to populating yet . probably never will do . you can use it if you like ?
 
Have the circuit cards made in China, then you are ready to compete with the elcheapo Chinese knockoff Ebay DIY preamp kits ;)
 
i send the op scans of what i have here but being an older design it uses LM381 which seems to be out of production . maybe there are better dual op amps now ..
 
Look at the book "Small Signal Audio Design" by Douglas Self. The phono preamp design covered here will be as good or better than anything else that has been designed over the years. Just don't go into commercial production unless you want legal problems.

You seem to misunderstand what's involved, as if there's a simple circuit that will do the job and all that's required to turn it into a super-circuit is to use the most expensive components you can find.
Well yes, there are a couple of very widely used circuits (ignoring variations on a theme) and someone could design a PCB for one of them, but there would be no point because there are already dozens of DIY kits available that are based on those circuits and hundreds of commercial products that use the same circuits.
Personally, I believe that doing better means going into more advanced circuit design, not more expensive components.
BTW, what do you consider "a reasonable price"?
