Titanium Bliss
I am looking for someone to repair my KA-801 Kenwood in the Tampa area, or Central Florida. Preferably an AK member or someone with the same mindset as one of us, who can properly repair my vintage amp which has high frequency issues. I have cleaned it, adjusted it, etc. and it still sounds like crap. I am going to check a couple of more things before sending it out (thanks Glenn and Maurice), but I need to find someone who is thorough, knows the quirks of these old girls, and won't make it look like a tweaker got a hold of it. I would like to send it to an AK tech, but expensive shipping to and from, combined with the holiday season of higher than normal shipping traffic resulting in more smashed packages, doesn't make that an attractive option. Of course, if I don't find anyone in the meantime, I may do that after the holidays. Thanks for any and all suggestions, and you can also PM me if you would like, John.
