Our 12-year-old KitchenAid dishwasher is giving up the ghost. About a month ago, I found a small 1.5" x 1/4" broken plastic piece inside the dishwasher with 3 BB-sized ball bearings in it. I thought maybe it was from the rack slider, but now it's making noises when it washes, so probably not.
Given its age, I'd rather replace it than try to fix it. I would like to get feedback which dishwasher brand/models is most reliable (or which ones to avoid). My only requirement is that it's stainless steel.
