Looking for info on AR9LS grille cloth: colors, material?

I have been hunting for any info on available colors of grille cloth for the AR9LS, and what kind of fabric was used. The brochure, hosted here, doesn't seem to be much help, unless I totally missed it. I can't find much anywhere else.

I ask because mine have awesome bright red grille cloth and I'm trying to figure out (1) if it's original and (2) whether identical replacement cloth exists.

Thanks in advance for any information ... I should probably take some pics of them. Will do so at some point.

Thanks,
Ryan

I think stock was brown....but I saw do what you like....on my 58S's, I went with a natural linen instead of the brown strechy fabric. looks fantastic

Here's what I mean. I think it's clear now that they have been recovered, after looking at the job up close. But dang.

(Edit: Pic is looking kinda pink on my screen. It's not pink. It's a deep, bright almost fire truck red.)

J-L...I have a nice pair of 2nd-owner AR-9LSi's. All the components and grilles are original (just the 8"midwoof, 10"down-firing woof, 12" front woofer foam surrounds and bottom slot acoustic foams have been replaced). The original grille cloth is brown. A suggestion- contact vintage_ar. Larry sells grille fabric and restores the vintage AR speakers. If you need more specifics about grille fabric,Larry can probably answer all your questions from experience.

Yep, brown was stock color, but yours look really great. Not everyone could live with the aggressiveness of that red, but it really does make a striking statement and contrasts well with the natural wood. Great Led Zeppelin album, by the way.

So I decided to play it safe and use black fabric. I'm done with the lower sections and I've started doing the first top section but run into trouble. Now I'm confused.

HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO DO THE UPPER EDGES? All the pictures I can find online show no seam or cut on the upper corner. Are you supposed to stretch the cloth somehow?

I've attached a picture with an arrow pointing to the edge I'm referring to (pic found online, not my speaker).
