Made a similar post on another forum but didn't receive any replies. Found these cheap at a thrift store, spent well over an hour trying to research them, figured if it was worth at least that much time I should just bring them home and taste them myself. They're branded "horizon" on the front badge but no other information or model number can be found. They're a little hefty (about 30-35 lbs) and measure (24"x12.5"x16"), insulated on the inside and feature 12" woofers, 5" mids, and ~2.5"(?) tweeters. The foam surrounds are toast and I've already ordered replacements, will be my first time replacing foam surrounds. I was still able to hook them up and both work and was surprised by the intensity of the bass, I had to turn off the loudness setting on my receiver.
From the research I've done so far, they appear to be made by Grafyx which is a line of speakers by "August Systems", a small speaker brand sold in some stores throughout the midwest from the mid-late 70s and early 80s. I'm in Wisconsin so this makes sense. It's interesting there's no other branding, model, or specifications listed anywhere on these speakers. The only reason I found this was due to one Facebook post online that has a picture of the back of some different speakers labeled "horizon by Grafyx," with the "horizon" typography the same as on my speakers.
Trying to see if anyone has information on these speakers or recognizes anything about them. Most of the other models from Grafyx I see online are the SP-6/SP-8/SP-10 line of speakers but these aren't them. Physically they're in almost new condition, one of the speakers has a tackiness feeling on the vinyl wrap I can't seem to remove.
