Looking for opinions - Ohm L vs Ohm D2

Let me put this in context. I recently sold my Ohm D2s and the opportunity has arisen to acquire a set of Ohm L speakers. I'm hoping to get some opinions from anybody who might have owned both.

Here is my inexpert opinion of the Ohm D2s

I find these speakers like a high current amp to sound their best. They were impressive (for small two way speakers), with a Pioneer Spec 2 I had for a while, as well as with a Mitsubishi DA-A10DC that I borrowed from a friend. But I can understand about the complaints about the shrill highs if someone was driving 4 ohm speakers with an 8 ohm amp. When driven by a compatible amplifier, they are very easy to listen to over long periods of time, but lacking a little in the midrange.

What are your experiences with Ohm L speakers?

What are they with Ohm D2s?

Can't comment on those models. Had C2s and have Walsh 2-100s. Both preferred high current amps to perform optimally. I think that's true across the line with both boxes and omnis. I had a conversation with the owner and designer at Ohm on this. Basic message was amps at the higher end of the spec range were going to deliver better sound.
