Looking For Solution For Zone 2 Denon AVR-X2000

I am helping a non techie friend with his home theatre setup. He has a Denon AVR-X2000 which I am not very familiar with. I'm looking for informed opinions on a solution for the Denon Zone 2 speakers.

His current set up is 4 speakers set to surround sound for the main room. Zone 2 would be providing sound for a media room projector that is in a different location. It's not possible to hard wire directly from the RCA out ports on the Denon for Zone 2 audio so I am thinking that connecting a broadcast device to the Zone 2 RCA out ports for bluetooth speakers might be the way to go. He does have an extra pair of normal speakers available but they are meant to be hard wired.

He primarily watches sporting events on the large screen in his home theatre. 2 speakers should be enough as long as they have decent sound, otherwise a small sub woofer with two smaller speakers for the theatre room could also be an option but his decision will be highly influenced on price.

What are your recommendations?

Will still need an amp for either of these devices to feed the signal.

ZONE2 : Setting to assign the unit’s built-in power amplifier for ZONE2 and output the audio in stereo.

The signal output for Zone2 should feed those devices?

The zone 2 amplifier is speaker level, not line level..

The zone 2 line outs are there to feed another amp, which feeds speakers..

Use the line outputs into the transmitter of the product @BmWr75 posted above, then out of that products rcvr into an amp to power the speakers in zone2..

Is the projector receiving video from the Main system, or does it have it's own source(s)..?

The video projector is getting its signal from the HDMI out port.

The zone 2 line outs are there to feed another amp, which feeds speakers..

I see the Zone2 pre out ports on the back and so I now understand why you say the are meant to feed another amp.

I'll have to read again what I initially may have misunderstood, but in the setup I thought it insinuated that you could have 4 speakers set up as surround sound using Front Right, Front Left, Surround R and Surround L, and then use Surround Back R & L as a second amplified output source.

You absolutely may be able to assign two of your amp channels to Zone 2. I have an older Denon AVR 4520CI and it contains nine amplified channels. The two surround back channels, front height channels and front wide channels can be assigned to Zones if not being used in the main home theater set up (i.e., a 5.1 or 7.1 system). BUT, you then have to run speaker wires from the AVR speaker connections to your Zone 2 speakers.

The HDMI going to the projector is probably carrying audio also..(see pass thru in the manual)..
It'll be messy looking, but an HDMI audio extractor at the projector, a small class d amp, and a pair of speakers..

My original thinking was to connect a broadcasting device to one of those amp channels but since the speakers need to be amplified anyway it appears to make more sense to use the Zone2 line out ports and amplify the speakers in the physical Zone2 location. Powered speakers maybe?

I'll have a look at this. I hadn't thought of this approach.
 
We settled on using a wireless adapter as suggested above from the Zone2 pre out. Now we are hunting for a good deal on an amplifier to power some speakers.

I really appreciate the advice everyone posted here. That Denon AVR-X2000 seems to be a nifty bit of hardware.

The Denon X series of AVRs are quite good, IMO. I own a X2000 and X3500H. The X2000 served me very well for a number of years in my 5.1 system. I would still be using it if I hadn't scored the X3500H for $125 just twenty minutes from my house.
