Hello, I have Kenwood KA 701 that needs recapped. I'm also open to any mods and upgrades that will make the stereo sweeter than it already is. I live in Olympia, WA and would like to find someone within driving distance. Anyone out there?

I can't see you name but must have been you that I called. I put a posting on c.list and a guy responded and gave me your name and number.

Sorry I didn't get back to you as I said I would. Once I get a little extra cash to put toward this I will call you (didn't realize it would cost as much). I look forward to it!

Do it yourself and experience the joy, pride and the learning experience!

The KA-701 is not a particularly complicated or difficult amp to work on, in fact it's probably one of the easier ones from that period as far as accessibility and parts count is concerned.

Step one though: PURCHASE A GOOD MANUAL IN PRINT! (with legible diagrams and print)
