I have a pair of Stancor A-8072 Ultra Linear Output Transformer and a pair Stancor PC-8142 PT. I am planning to build a pair of push pull mono block. I did search for schematics that use with A-8072, which have ultra linear topology, and it came up with Williamson type amp. circuit. Are there other good schematics that I can use with these transformer? Any inputs and suggestion are appreciated.

Hi ,

I just built a pair of mono blocks with a pair of Stancor P-8412 power transformers and Acrosound TO-330 output transformers . I can help you adapt the circuit i used with these amps to your transformers .

You will need a choke for the power supply to get your voltages to come out right , a 10 HY choke at 200 ma would be a good place to start . With a 5V4GA or 5U4GB rectifier at 5 uf 600 volt cap the 10 HY choke the at least 250 uf cap , you B+ will be right on the money with your stancor P-8412 for 6L6GB's or EL34's .For 7189's or 6BQ5's the 5 uf cap should be changed to 1 uf .

Pm me any help you if needed . The schematic dosen't show ultralinear but thats how these are wired
