Hey guys, I have 4 lamps out on a pioneer tx 9500 II and was wondering if any of you have ever replaced bulbs in one of the pioneer tuners and where I might find replacements?

What's out...

fm stereo light
power on indicator
tuning meter light
stereo wide light

Thanks a lot!

Just sold my TX 9500, didn't need lamps. Sorry, don't know voltage or wattage.

I usually get lamps from MCM Electroincs, or Partsexpress. MCM has much larger selection.

Keep their catalogs on hand all the time. They have ton's of other stuff, I can't live without!!

Can spend a hour just looking through them.

Did you ever locate those bulbs? I am looking now for the same/similiar bulbs in a TX-6500.

Thanks

Don,
Send me an e-mail with size, specs, and pics, I have thousands of lamps, Wojo. :)

Cruiseair,
I tested those 7.7v, 220ma bayonet lamps, these are new old stock of about 25 years old, they're clean and work excellent, I mounted one in a RatShack bayonet holder for testing, a perfect fit!! Others are just buying my 8v, 250ma wedge lamps, and soldering the leads directly, then inserting them with a rubber grommet. :) :) :) :)

Cleaned up and put back together. Looks nice. Now, which room to put them in (HAHA) and the hunt begins for appropriate thrift store speakers.

Cruiseair,
It looks great, I bet it makes a nice glow in the room when the room lights are out, great job, Wojo. :)

Saw this thread and thought I'd give it a shot. Got maybe the same problem. Did the problem in this thread ever get resolved? I'm thinking it wasn't burned out lights. Rescued a Pioneer TX-9500 II and when I got it home the right channel wasn't putting out very well (noisy and in and out). Put it away for awhile and got it out and cleaned it all up today and guess what? Works like a champ now...except... all three red lights for "wide band", "narrow band", "stereo", and the power light above the power switch are now out. I do believe they worked when I first tested it before cleaning and all went out at the same time. Any ideas? Anyone point me in the right direction? I'm thinking it must be something in common with all, but have no idea what that might be. Not any of the 4 fuses accessible from the bottom as all check good. Frustrating. Thought it was fried and now it works fine, but those little lights that used to work ALL don't work now. Rats! ... and other things! If I don't get a reply here I'll try my own thread. Any help is appreciated.

I know this is old but I'm looking for some replacement lamps for a Pioneer TX-6500 mk II tuner. The power and signal light are out, the main lamps are fine. Any ideas where i can get new bulbs?

Did you try dgwojo in this thread? He said he has thousands and I think he helped me. Unfortunately, we must have done it through messages and not the thread. Couldn't find my answer.
