Lost remote for Denon AVR-3300

Hi, I am a new user and created an account because I want help solving this problem. I lost my remote to the Denon AVR-3300 (the discontinued one not the new updated X3300.) I have already contacted Denon and they sad that since it was discontinued I could not ask for a new remote. I have a Verizon Fios TV P265v3 remote and was wondering if it was possible to make that work (I think it is programmable). If not, please let me know the cheapest solution!
Thanks in advance
P.S.
The remote model number is RC860

Some members have had good luck with so called "universal" remotes.
Some members have a good luck on ebay. In fact I've bought two OEM remotes on there myself.
Some members have found that other remote models by the same company will work with their model.

How would I go about setting up a "universal" remote for this model. I have the Fios TV P265v3 remote and it accepts 3 digit codes. Would I be able to use it as a "universal remote?" If so, what would the 3 digit code be.

I'd try Googling something like "how to program a universal remote"
Chances are decent you could get the real thing on ebay but it might not be this week. Or even next week. And it might not be cheap.
Being a Denon it seems like using a different Denon remote might work.
Personally my last choice would be a universal remote (mislabeled buttons in not original configuration or location) but that's just me.

EDIT/ADDED might not be that expensive for that remote, SEVERAL OEM remotes have sold on ebay this year for under $40. And it appears they work with a few different models.

Go to ebay and put "Denon AVR-3300 remote" in the search box...none right now but many have sold this year, plus you'll see what other model Denons use the same or similar remote.

Ok. I will probably buy Phillips Universal Remote control SRP914A/27 since it is cheap. I am also thinking about just buying a custom remote from something like remotes.com which sells a custom built one for 30 bucks. Not the real remote but a custom universal remote so I do not have to program it. Thanks for helping me out!

i had a look and my spare is a rc-832,if had been a 860 it would have been in the post by sun down,oh well good luck

I doubt the FIOS remote will do what you need. The cable box remotes usually only can control only a few functions, like volume and source selection.

Ok thanks for all of the help. I've decided on buying a harmony hub by logitech and according to the logitech website the AVR-3300 should be compatible. Since I also lost my FireTV remote, this should kill two birds with one stone. I was waiting on buying a custom-built universal remote from something like remotes.com or remote-control-world.eu since I was not willing to give my money to some suspicious websites. I think Best Buy is delivering my Hub in a couple of days.
P.S. I might post an update here on what happens and whether I get it working. Fingers crossed!
