His asking price of $800 seems a bit much for basically one slightly damaged high value item and a bunch of junk. Passed...

The Marantz and Kyocera gear is "junk"?

The Marantz is good. The Polks are good, depending on if either of them are to your taste. The Mc is good and you can get new glass. Those Kef speakers will sound decent but they're not the best in build quality. The Kyocera is decent...all in all, not a bad price IF somebody wanted all of those things. The problem I see with listings like this is that people usually don't want all of what you have. They already have a CD player. Or speakers. Or a good amp. I guess you could buy this and sell it all and keep the McIntosh, and maybe get a close to free mcintosh, but how much time would you have to put in? My time is worth more than that, to me.

Can you tell I hate 'buy it all!' sales?

Good but not great. There really isn't a "keeper" in the lot that would make buying all that stuff and then selling off worthwhile.
