Well, my current system is batting 100 in reliability and satisfaction.

I now sport a Spectron KW-1 amplifier with volume control connected to a Lexicon RT-10 which plays everything perfectly every time from the appropriate layer of hybrid CD's. The Parasound TDQ-1600 tuner does NPR and so forth very well. Thank goodness for the ST-2 whip antenna.
Speakers are the good ol Cabasse Galion IV...

I enjoy tremendously to simply havethe stuff work every time, and throw out good sound at the same time.

Taking a break from vintage is relaxing....and my stuff is all refurbished, but still makes you pucker up sometimes when you turn on.

Remember when I was into photography. Reading at time, that Pros used Nikon and Leika cameras mainly because they were reliable.
What you say has credence.
