Here is a stand that I built a couple years ago. I made it out of 1 x 2" 14ga tubing. I couldn't find a decent quality rack for the gear I wanted to put in it so I made my own. The best part is the extra tube I added to mount the tv on. This gives room for my tt's which otherwise wouldn't fit on top.

So Dennydog, what game is in the Atari 2600? Man that brings back memories...

I like wide racks. Don´t looking too stacked.

Also a nice sideboard can put the gear in the limelight.

First of all, Sascha, that sideboard setup is beautiful, looks like something out of a catalog or magazine and those speakers up top, what are they?

And now my humble "low and wide"

Walmart, less than 90 bux. a few L and T brackets from Home Depot on the back corners for stability and this thing works great, only downfall is the finish (scratches easily). Heavy stuff on the bottom, shelves are plenty thick and it slides easily on the carpet to access the back.

Here is the office credenza that I use. I took these pictures when I cut holes for wires. It has has doors, too.

The only thing I have that wont fit, that I've tried to put inside, is my big Pioneer industrial laserdisc player.

Now that I have this, I keep seeing other pieces of furniture at the thrift stores that make me think, Hmm, that would be great for audio equipment...... Oh wait, I already filled that need. The last thing I need to do is start collecting audio cabinets/furniture on top of speakers, amps. etc.

I think it's PacMan which is actually pretty horrible on the Atari. That reminds me that I have to pass it along to another AKer that I promised it to.

but ran out of space and the look just was not there any more.
