Low hum in General Electric Solid State console

image.jpg image.jpg Hey guys, I have a late 60s General Electric Solid State console that I have been doing a gradual restore on. After getting it running, replacing the needle cartridge, resoldering the connectors to the stylus - I am getting a low tone from the phonograph. It almost sounds like bass feedback but doesn’t ever fluctuate and goes away as soon as you lift the tone arm from the record. The tone arm also seems to gather static electricity after an hour or so of play? resulting in sound that gets fuzzier and fuzzier and a tone arm that responds with growls and buzzes when you touch it. Eventually it goes away after I mess with it a bit. Any thoughts?
