Provocative Percussion?

Yes! Also Persuasive Percussion (thanks mhardy for posting an example--I guess this is another thread that is "worthless without pics"), a couple of different vols of Provocative Percussion, the Command version of Pictures at an Exhibition, and Leonid Hambro and Jascha Zayde's Mozart Mendelssohn & Schubert. I know of these only from a catalog of Albers's prints.

It occurs to me, too, that several releases from Thrill Jockey use abstract art on the covers. Isotope 217's The Unstable Molecule, Car Alarm by Sea & Cake, and Who's Your New Professor by Sam Prekop all come to mind.

Not exactly art (more like craft) but I've always liked the award-winning photo (time exposure of lights tied to strings) from Chet Atkins' Hi-Fi in Focus.
