Luxman 115 or Kenwood 6600?

A KR-6600 you mean? Every model you listed isn't that great and isn't worth that much.

Really? Suggestions? I thought the Kenny was very good.
It's a mid/low range receiver from Kenwood, far from very good. But if you're happy with it, keep it.

Having owned multiple Luxman R-115's I can say they are quite outstanding however I've never had or listened to the Kenwood you mentioned so I can't give you an opinion on which is better.
A bonus is obviously having the remote plus the R-115 has not 1 but 2 Pre-Out's giving you some versatility down the road if you want to hook it up to a Power amp

The KR-6600 is the a 56wpc unit from the peak of Kenwood receivers, 76-78 in the line with the 9600 and looks the part. It is wholly adequate for almost anyone. Sounds good, has the look and features most would want.
The Luxman R-115 is in the line with the R-117 and those and the 113 all are talked about as sounding great. I like the Luxman sound and would consider this 70wpc receiver an upgrade. Not much more power, won't really notice it too much but the 115 should sound very nice.
ivandezande is rocking separates and his rig would not be displaced by either of these receivers as competent as they are. Separates, good separates are a step up.
I'd make the upgrade to the Luxman R-115 all day long.

Had a Model 11G. Sexy as hell. 6600 sounded way better. But my restored Yamaha CS 820 is the best sounding do far. HK430 a close second.

I got a R-113 a year or so ago from the 'bay for $30, right channel finals blown + failing relay.
For a 35W/ch receiver plays very nice. Also incorporates a torodial transformer.

There are Luxman remote codes online so you could buy a used Logitech Harmony program in the Lux code and you're good to go.

Have had 4 of them over the course of years, currently have 1 and 2 are out on perma-loan with the agreement that I have right of first refusal if they decide to move on from them. They've had them for years now and love them so I doubt I'll be seeing them anytime soon.
