Got a Luxman DZ-111 cheap because the Tray was stuck. The previous owner opened it up to get the CD that was in there out, and left the door inside the unit.

I was able to figure out how to get at the Belt.
I also updated this thread with photos and it should be the same for any of the DZ-1xx

Problem is that when I opened it up to get the Door out this part was loose inside. I've checked the Service Manual (DZ-111 & 112) and it's not in the exploded view. No part # on it.
Could someone with a DZ-11x have a look and tell me where it goes. Photo would be good too.

From what I can tell it is part of the CD Tray Assembly which might explain why its not in the SM (I checked the DZ-122 SM as well)
but its not obvious to me where it goes
 
That's the cam that lifts the whole clamping mechanism to hold the CD against the top spindle, once the CD tray is closed in the "play" position.

Thanks that narrows it down slightly, any idea where I can find a photo of that section? It's not in the SM

That attachment is horrible. I can see it is clamped in "reverse", the top part lowers over the CD. In this case is not what I said...

Is the tray "locking" in place anymore? Because that's another option.

Interesting. Did Rob PM you on the white locking part? I see no comments from a Rob here. Anyway. I have a dz-122 here in pretty rough shape. This helps, but if I cant revive this does anyone know if the DZ-111 and 112 is the same mechanism with the two stage locking tray or if either may work for donor machines?
