Hello, I have some difficulties repairing a Luxman KX-101 cassette deck. I fixed a number of things including the suckface mechanism, now I am puzzled by one persistent issue that I strongly suspect is coming from the input stage of playback amplification. The symptoms are a static noise or oscillation - I cannot tell but it is not constant, although it is of high volume - it overwhelms the signal (signal still can be heard). Auditively it sounds like a dirty switch but I tried cleaning the contacts around, moving all kinds of cables to no effect. I tried reading the signals with an oscilloscope and I detected it in the collector of Q202a (see schematic), this is what lead me to believe that it is in the input stages, either in the circuits of Q201a or Q202a.
Any ideas or previous experiences with something like this? Is there a contact I may be missing or should I just start replacing all capacitors and input transistors? thanks in advance
Another couple points: it happens in both channels, and I tried freeze spraying the Q201 and Q202 transistors to no avail (problem does not go away).
