Luxman L-100U I Picked Up This Morning

I picked this up this morning at an estate sale here in FL. It is a Luxman Model L-100U which is just the American version of the L-100. No I have not tested it yet but it was pretty cheap so I had to grab it. Also it looks GREAT! I will test it later. I am pretty tired because I have been up basically all night just to make sure I was first in line at the sale to get it. WOO HOO!!!

Love it. Be sure to replace the epoxy diodes in the amp section, every Lux that crosses my bench is in protection because of them.

Well it's not in protection but only one channel has sound. It does have a reverse switch on it and when you flip that and unplug the left or right input it shows that it is working, and the one speaker is actually playing the left and right inputs when switched. Also I pulled the Pre - Main jumpers, Hooked the pre section to my Marantz and it plays really nice through the Marantz so the problem is definitely in the main amp section. I have to say the one side that does play really sounded nice even though I used crappy speakers to test it.

Oh and that "Mute" thing doesn't work ether

The "Mute" thing not working has been addressed before, I'll see if I can dig up some of the threads on that topic. If @Blue Shadow stops by heed his suggestions/advice the man knows his Luxman

One other weird thing I noticed. Somehow internally the left and right output is switched. In other words when I flip the reverse switch to "Reverse" it is actually normal not reversed.

I think that thread addresses a few of the items to check for the Touch Mute feature.
On-off switch on back panel, some units (C-1000/L-100/L-110) have it some don't.
Wiring to the system. Black rimmed volume controls have two wires, solid metal volume controls have only one
Touch Mute board may need a rebuild. A few caps, power in and a relay are things to check.

Does look like your Touch Mute switch is either off or slightly away from the On position. Maybe cycling that will get your touch mute working.

Enjoy that Linear Equalizer on the phono inputs. Nice feature that one is.
