Luxman L-116A... 240V connection?

Hi there, I'm new to here, hello friends & hifi lovers )
I just bought a Luxman L-116A Amp, but it's set at 220v, if anyone out there knows the correct colour wire inside I need to connect to get 240v , this knowledge would be much appreciated. I will use it well, and create great new vibes, I know 220v would work here in UK, but i want it right, as I suspect it will run 240v. Any help would be appreciated!

Did you happen to first take a voltage measurement from the wall to see what you actually have in voltage?

Hi, no not done that, just a keen amateur me.
I got the Amp from Germany, but I see what you say maeks sense, but I've not got any equipment etc.

Connecting a "220V" unit into a "240V" outlet is just fine. A unit that old must be designed to accept fluctuations of +/-10%, and it'll probably be just fine even if you were to run it on 260V.

If you live in Europe, chances are that your wall voltage is 230V +5/-10%. That's pretty much within the tolerance of 220V+/-10%.

I'll second Freezer7Pro, that variance is inconsequential and within the variance allowance for even the cheapest of electronics.

OOoookay. Cool thanks guy's will give it a go. Yeah I'm in UK.
Had Luxman LX-77 Speakers a few years ago,(never shoulda got rid of em) mighty fine, bit bright, good with valves though, mellow times!
