Luxman L-410 ALPS Volume Control

I am trying to source a replacement volume control for my Luxman L-410 - with no success so far!

The Luxman Part Number is RV0296; the Luxman description is K272A0100K; printed on the back of the potentiometer is ALPS - Japan 2D1Y 100KBx2. The circuit shows that there is a loudness tap on the control so I assume 4 pins per channel.

I am confused as to the taper being used as the Luxman description could be interpreted (?) as A (log) 100K and the ALPS past number would seem to indicate B (linear) 100K.

I have checked on the ALPS web site and I have sent them an email but as yet have received no reply.

There are quite a few ALPS 100K A taper, loudness tapped, potentiometers on eBay and they look to be the correct dimensions however the codes bear no resemblance to the ones on my unit. (As a side question are these eBay items genuine ALPS or is there a big counterfeit presence?)

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

A can mean log or linear.

B can mean linear or log.

There is no consistency.

It is most likely log, in this case.

You will not find one with a loudness tap, so you'll have to do without.

ALL Alps pots sold on Ebay are fake - no exceptions.
