Its why I followed it up with, as a means of keeping ones perspectives in check.

Kinda follows in the vein of another old saying, consider the source. So if you think

Im only saying any of this to you as an effort to point out such things are nothing
to get worked up over.

I also dont follow the anger over using boy in jest. Im fully aware of how a certain
50s connotation directed at a group of people can be offensive. But I saw nothing
of that sort in his remarks. Many people myself included have used such a word
in jest, mainly as a comical means of implying someone being green of sorts.

I also am a huge fan of George Carlin and Bill Hicks sense of humor. So my mindset
will differ from a portion of the population. But Im proud to be a reader A Hicks joke.

I'm 39 with an 11 yo son. I'm trying not to become an ok boomer lol.

I'm also a HUGE fan of the saying, how easily offended a person is is inversely proportional to their level of intelligence. Not as a way of slamming people. Rather keep ones perspectives in check.
