luxman L-530 1982 TOTL integrated 120wpc

Hey guys one of these popped up locally I’ve never seen one before. Reviews are a bit scarce as far as sound quality. Looks like they were available everywhere except the Receiver-mad USA. Any thoughts or impressions welcome. I’m thinking about upgrading from my Luxman L-410 as my Acoustic Research AR10pi set seems to just sound better and better with more power. Thanks in advance! I listen to vinyl/cassette tapes.

I have a Luxman L525 and by far its one of my best pieces I own. Smooth and effortless SQ. Quiet phono stage.​

More power 120 vs 105 with 15 in Class A
half the distortion, .007 vs .015
lower MC noise 70S/N vs 67

MSRP ¥165,000 for the L-530 and ¥99,000 for the L-430 from the same 1982 Brochure for these are pre-Alpine Luxmans. Doesn't matter what the yen was worth that is a big difference in price.

I'd make the move for sure not because of the specs.

Not quite TOTL. there was an L-550 for ¥220,000 in that same brochure. But this one was only 50wpc but all Class A with still better specs for MC phono and lower distortion.
