Luxman L-80v as a pre-amp?

I've got a Dynaco ST-70 and I'm wondering if I can use my Luxman L-80v as a pre-amp? I tried hooking it up and I couldn't make it work....Is it perhaps not possible with this model Luxman? Or, am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any insight.

To add to what the previous poster mentioned the L80V does not have "Pre-Out/Main In" as an option like the L-110 for example
