Luxman "Luxkit" Turntables?!

Hi everyone, as always time is of the essence. A Luxkit PDK-131 just came available locally for a great price (Without tonearm of course but I enjoy the thought of picking my own anyways.) There's virtually no info out there on PDK turntables and scarcely any on the PD Micro line from the mid 70s either. Would this be a worthy successor for a mk 1 TD-125? Thinking about stealing the SME 3009 non improved off it and switching it over.

Stick to the TD-125/SME combination. It's a lot more maintainable, performs better than most.

The 131 is a nice table but don't think it will out perform the 125, both in good, refreshed shape. The DD will have more torque and the table looks better but the 125/SME just looks right as a vintage top of the line table. It is what we think of when that is mentioned.

The 131 was available with the SME probably a 3009 S2 Imp since it is a 1978 model 540 sans arm. More discussion on the web.

Luxman tables, 555 then 300-series, then 400-series. The 121/131 should be next as they are better than the 200-series.
