This is not 1 VS another unit...Well sort of...Just my overall Listening Pleasure. I have been listing to both of these units for sometime...I got back
the 4100 last week from Terry (Alignment, Checkup).

Both units have been Recapped (Threads below) and have 120hrs for each unit. Using a Sansui TU-717 with LV-109.

Granted the Luxman is at 150watts/8 ohms vs 4100 75watts/8 ohms

Low Volume listing levels, 4100 EQ Flat to 1 click Up....FM and CD player used.

It's the Luxman that stomps over the 4100. It's not like the 4100 Sounds bad (Hey it's has that Mac sound)..But the Mac does not have the Dynamics or Sound Stage to the Luxman. Lows are = on both...the Luxman is Cleaner on hearing a Bass Player Plucking the strings. Mids and Highs are also Sharper yet warm on Luxman (4100 Mids and Highs have that Mac Warm sound).

I will hold onto the Mac for a little bit...As you can see from my thread...The Mac is a Cherry...yet the Mac is getting some Crazy $'s..:scratch2:
