Here is a listing for the 'getting to be more rare' R-117 that is quite popular with several AK members. The way the bidding is going in the first few hours I'm surprised that someone has not jumped on the BIN. Decent CDP, as well.

Dunno, not very many show up to give a value. Vintagestereo bought a little time back, but I don't think he mentioned what it cost him.
Heck, if the BIN had been $250, I'd have snapped it up in a heartbeat, if someone else hadn't beat me to it.

they usually go for around $300-$350. with the CDP $400 is a fair price. if you are in the market for a TOTL receiver, you cant go wrong with the R-117.

The fact that it has both the remote and the owner's manual makes it worth an additional $50-100. These are both more rare, by far, than is the somewhat rare receiver, itself.

i forgot about the the remote, they go for around $40 by themselves..... if you can find one.

A remote was just offered on eBay this week. I paid $200 for mine with remote on eBay 6 months ago with remote and was fortunate enough to get local PU. The seller was a start up drop-off business and even let me test it with headphones b4 I forked over the cash. I guess I was lucky. I can't ever see replacing this receiver in my current BR setup as separates would take up to much space and performance would be difficult to surpass at any reasonable price point. This is a receiver that once you get you will never let go of. Only criticism is that it not the prettiest face in the crowd but mine is out of site under the night stand and controlled by the remote. I personally would have no use for a Denon carousel cdc. Be patient they do come up fairly frequently on eBay and should go for under $300. I also know the remote for the R-115 works, so any of the RR-XXXs may work for this model as well.
