Luxman RX-103 opinion please

Hi, I got an offer to sell me a mint condition Luxman RX-103 for $150.00.
I never have a Luxman before but I like the look of this RX-103 with those cool blue button. How does this RX-103 sound ? has anyone experience with this receiver ? And if it sounds good, what do you think is a fair price for this receiver ?
Any opinion is greatly appreciated.

We can't answer pricing questions except in the Dollars and Sense forum.

The unit is 90 watts per channel, top unit in 1982 in that line of products.

Any Luxman stuff that works is great sounding equipment overall.

Just go buy it or ask in $ & ¢ if that is a good price.
 
Luxman RX-103

I don,t have the RX-103 which suppose to be 90 watts per channel. But I have two RX-101, and at fisrt I thought it would be another one of those NEWER thin, and hard sounding receivers. Well, i was very supprise how good sounding this unit sounded. It is very much like my NAD 7150, but with a more detail,a nd open sound. The NAD was smooth, but the sound is somehow like it has been covered up with a thin cloth, while the Luxman was more open, and very seductive in it musical reproduction. You could listen for more then 2 hours without getting tired I had some Yamaha gears, and boy, are Yamaha amps ever hard and thin. I had some experience with big monster amps and the smaller once, and IMHO, I found the 40-60 watters are the best in reproducing the music. Maybe there are just TOO MANY output transistors in parallel to make it sound good.
