Hello!
My rebuilt LX-626 (in some ways similar to the SX-626) has a faint hiss regardless of the selected function. Even with volume set at 0 it is there.
The speakers are a pair of Q Acoustics 3020. With these on the hiss is barely noticeable. However, with Audio-Technica MSR7 headphones you just can't ignore it.
Power board AWR-029, control board AWG-008, Equalizer board W21-004 and Power amp AWH-002 have been overhauled except for FETs and resistors, which have nevertheless been tested. The DC bias has also been performed accordingly. Pots have been cleaned.
Does anyone have any idea on what could be causing this? maybe thermal noise? I've never listened to the system before so I don't have a reference.
