MA-6300 and Vincent PHO-701

Hey All,
I am looking to upgrade my phono section with an external Vincent PHO-701. I have been wanting to dive into tubes without upgrading the entire Integrated Amp, so am thinking about adding the Vincent Preamp. My current setup is:

MA6300 Integrated
Rega P3 TT
Ortofon Black 250 LVB Cart
Speakers KLH Model 5's (New)

Question is, would this pre-amp make any noticeable difference in sound quality? And can anyone recommend a quality interconnect that isn't sky high in price that would compliment this setup? My head spins with the amount of cable options.

Thanks!

I haven’t heard the Vincent but it may give you some flavor of tubes and a phono is the best way to give that a try. I did the same thing with a jolida jd9 and then redid the caps etc. It’s a nice way to start. Of course now my two vintage systems are tubed mcintosh, and my main pre is also tubed with a ss amp. So enjoy, see where it goes…

On the interconnects, the cheapest best one I’d recommend and use in some of my vintage gear connections are audioquest king cobras. Music direct sells them and I think you can get a 1m pair under $200, otherwise Nordost blue heaven or Analysis plus.
