MA 6600 move to separate amp and pre-amp?

:scratch2:Hi,

I have a MA6600 that I like a lot but I have the bug to move into seprates. Any thoughts on doing a stepped move by buying a preamp i.e. C220 or C2300 and using the power amp of the 6600 as a power amp only? Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. :scratch2:
