Wondering about the actual weight of the MA6500 Integrated Amp. The McIntosh Compendium says 38 pounds. An ebay seller says 75 pounds, I tried to ask McIntosh, but can't because I can't fill out the captcha that doesn't show on their support page. I'd bet there is an actual owner of an MA6500 out there who would know what this amp weighs. Thank you for any information.

Thank you. Looks like neither was correct, but the Compendium was closer.
I assume the net weight is no packaging material. I seem to recall hearing those units, at least from the factory, were packaged to the "tilt".

Nope, the Compendium says 41#. From the Owner's Manual.

You are right. I stand corrected. I was looking at an MA5300 on the compendium and it weighs 38 pounds. I must have been momentarily confused (not a rare occurrence).
When I tried to ask McIntosh using Safari, it would not display the Captcha. When I switched to Firefox, the Captcha was displayed and I was able to contact them. They also confirmed a weight of 41 pounds.
The reason for asking is we are moving into a much smaller house. Our current house has built in shelving for my stereo gear. The new house won't. So, I'm looking at stand-alone furniture shelving. Much of this kind of shelving has glass shelves with a weight limit of 33 or 50 pounds. I've wanted a McIntosh integrated and moving might be a reason to get one (if I can find one). I do like the my Hint 6 too (33 pounds), so an MA6500 may not be a must-have or be in my future.
