Mac 1500 Repair/Restoration Recommendation in Ohio

Hi all. I was fortunate to pick up a beautiful Mac 1500 over the weekend. Pretty much looks all original including tubes. Before I begin enjoying my purchase I would like to have it checked over by a qualified technician. I live in Central Ohio but travel throughout the state. Who do you recommend for quality and fair service? Does it need to be performed by an authorized Mac repair service? Thanks in advance for your referrals.

Ditto on the above recommendation. ^^^

Probably no one better, more qualified for the task - and reasonably priced.

Another vote for Terry.
I had my C30 serviced by Terry few years ago and he only did absolutely needed and came back better then ever.
Great person to deal with.

Make sure to pack securely.

A week without a phone or internet thanks to Comcast, yes the 1500 probably need some updates, especially power supply filters. Have done several in the past month and new filter cans really improved the sound, cleaner highs and much tighter bass.

Hope mine's next up on the bench Terry! :D:D:D

Hey Terry! I have a beautiful virgin 1500 sitting in my Mancave. Lived almost all it's life in a console and looks almost untouched. What would you recommend for replacement/restoration besides the usual "All the caps and most all the resistors..."
