MAC and Dynaco heaven

Hey folks. I have had the hifi bug for 6ish years now. Ive gone through so many receivers and speakers that it is difficult to remember them all. Thought I would share what I settled on because this site was a wonderful resource for information. Late 70's MAC1900, Dynaco a25, Dual 1218, Shure M91ED with newer stylus, and all cables are higher end Monster cables. Speaker wire I received from an audiophile friend as a bachelor party present and is high end wire he got from a friend. All styles sound great and I never feel the need to make any adjustments with tone controls. Listening volumes are usually between 70-100db. Sound is clean, warm, detailed and full sounding at all volumes. On weekends and days off this sees 10-12 hours of action. I never seem to get tired of listening to it and neither does my wife. Friends who come over always want to open a beer and listen to music. At some point I do need to do some restoration, but for now I am very happy.
cheers.

I have also reached that point and it is very fulfilling.I can concentrate much more on actually listening to and enjoying my collection.

It was really fun hunting and tracking gear down that I wanted to hear. Most of the set ups I had would have been just fine. Something about the MAC and Dynaco just keeps me wanting more. Ive owned better speakers interns of detail and depth but I just didn't listen to as much music as I do now. Only thing left is purchase is a DAC which I need to do some more research on.
