Wow is right! The speakers are JBL Sovereign types with the S8R load, the 375 drivers make them sing! 3 speakers, wow!

The rest is very nice mac stuff, not SOTA but very good, the MPI-4 alone is a super nice piece and plenty of Crown RTR love too.

Is it worth the price? Maybe, I suspect some nice discussion and a big truck with a few friends would convince to sell for less, I'd say $6500 cash would take it.

Would be a very nice vintage set, change out the B&O for a nice Thorens/SME combo and I'd be in business.

Sorry, just my particular preference for Thorens Tables. While I admire the B&O tables for their design and looks, I'm not partial to their particular performance or reliability. Also, due to the design of their tonearms and matching cartridges, one doesn't have as much flexibility if you want to change things. For me, the best bang for buck tables are the Thorens TD160 or TD125 series (and for some the TD124) which when mated with a very good classic arm like the SME (almost any of them) is the basis for a very nice phono system. Certainly other tables would also apply.

I just mentioned that because with all the rest of the gear (save the CD changer) this system would then be very complete from a vintage gear setup point of view. Some would say the speakers could be the next upgrade option, and if you didn't like the Sovereigns, they could easily transfer value into the newest generation of JBL speakers (like the Array 1400).
