Is it just me or does the poll not match the question, LOL! At any rate...watch Fury Road in 5.1 with the volume up! It has one of the best recorded audio tracks that have ever graced my personal system! Love that movie!
Just a great sequel long after the originals. Bladerunner 204? is one of the others that hit the mark. Fury Road fun facts: Same director as the originals, all car accidents were real (not CGI) like the originals, and Toe Cutter (main bad guy in the original) is the main protagonists in Fury Road.

Not a sequel.....a re-imagining.
IMO was "OK".
At least they understood that the cars were almost as interesting characters as the cast, something that was totally lost on "Thunderdome"
As much as I may like Tina Turner, you can not use her to replace "The last of the V8 interceptors". At least not to a 14 year old kid.
I'll see what the newest offering is like.
I vote "full surround" as intended for the commercial theater.
IMO was "OK".

Um, that was confusing. Should have been 2 questions Mad Max in mono or 5.1, FR color or B&C and arrrgh too late to edit. And yesss thanx Hajidub, they brought, almost literally, a boat load of vehicles Namibia, OMG the tanker blowing up...."Dust is our Friend" George Miller to DP.

WOW! Thank you. So kids, who wants to climb 40 feet up a ladder and sit on the tail???? And it's amazing how camera placement made that look like it was in the middle of nowhere. At my job I constantly have the the clip of " Plan? There ain't no plan " running in my head. This made my day. Is your other car an Interceptor?????

Ummm I would definitely been ok looking at Tina Turner if I was 14 then... that's just crazy talk coming out of your fingers
Again, not really an issue with her, just that whole "deviation" IMO from the secondary focus being on the cars really put me off. She was simply the easily identifiable symbol of it.
For a kid who had been reading sci-fi from a very young age, and with the mechanical aptitude and interest in cars I had back then, the window into an alternate universe filled with familiar yet different and "backyard" kept running and modified vehicles somewhat central to the sci-fi apocalyptic story line was a huge breath of fresh air from the normal film subject matter of the times, and almost directly in my "wheel house".
When I heard the third installment would have a major budget and "name brand" score and star power, I was ecstatic.
(Hindsight says I should have known better)
I was a cheerleader and champion of the franchise all they way up to release date. I went out of my way to introduce people to the concept and details. I kit-bashed 1/25 scale models of the cars as close as I could in a time before you could buy AU kits in the US.
To say that "Thunderdome" was a huge let down to me is an incredible understatement.

I was all those and stand by my comment.
At 14 I was actively working "for" my dad building race bikes and hotrods.
As do I.

I did see the original and 2 at the drive in when they can out. It is the only local place that would screen them. The first was on the small back screen as the midnight movie.
And I am weird I guess as I enjoyed Thunderdome.

I saw TRW first at midnight movie.
Had to wait until friend with cable to see MM.
My first crush was Janice Rand (Grace Lee Whitney) from ST TOS around age 8 circa 1976.
