Magnavox 8802 Project

Hi...newbie here. I recently acquired a working Magnavox 8802. I want to redo this unit like so many others have to make it a standalone amp. I was wondering if there were any good people willing to walk a person with ZERO electrical experience(but I can use a soldering iron) through doing a few mods. First...id like to install a power switch.

Welcome to AK.
I would suggest gloogle up the model and you'll hit on several reference threads. Become familiar with the unit, obtain a schematic or service manual (sorry I don't have a link for one.) again reading others projects will broaden your knowledge.

Yes I've learn a lot already...like it's not an 8802 but in fact a 9302 haha. I'm excited to learn more about these things

lol.. lot of links on that model, too. Would recommend an a temp controlled iron. doesn't have to be tol but assure you can get replacement tips.

could ask the mod to retitle for the thread would make it easier for help.
