Hey all,
It's my first post. Hoping somebody might point me in the right direction. Basically I've a volume pot that's gone bad on my Magnavox Astro Sonic (chassis # R23104 DA). And, I need a replacement.
The conductive material has worn off of the left channel's wiper. As a result I get very little volume until it's turned up all the way up. It's a dual gang 100k audio taper with uh?.... 10-pins!?! Why? I don't get it... And, I can't find anything like this on the net. I've searched the usual places. No dice.
Anyone know: 1) Where parts be for this dinosaur and 2) What is the deal with the four extra pins on the pot? 3) Can I use a normal six pin pot (given all other specs the same:
100k, audio taper etc.)?
Schematic on order, btw. Here's a few pics>>
Thanks,
Todd
