Magnavox Astrosonic volume(loudness) pot replacement

Hello, I am trying to source a replacement for the LOUDNESS control on a Astrosonic console. It is a R201-03-00 chassis I believe. The pot in question is supposed to be 100k, but it has places for 10k and 50k taps. Anybody have these?View attachment 2754187

Can't see your attachment. I gotta ask, are you sure the volume pot is bad? Is it physically broken or is it very scratchy sounding?

When monitoring the resistance while turning it up, it climbs fairly smoothly, then jumps from 40k to 90k on one gang. One gang measures about 40k Ohms different from the other over all. The symptom with the radio is an out of balance condition until you turn it up, then the low side "pops" in. This effect sure seems to match the measurements I'm getting.

Try cleaning it with deox first. Sometimes the simple solution is the fix. Oxidation or carbon on the trac can certainly produce the symptoms you are experiencing.

These volume controls can also have loudness taps at 40% and sometimes at 60% and these taps can sometimes get wonky if dirty.

If all else fails, I might have a spare or two.

I have for sure tried cleaning it, several times. It does have taps for at 10k and 50k, at least according to the schemo. I think I may disconnect the taps and see if a failed IC/RC pack hanging on the back is causing some wonkiness, unless you think that is in vain.
