Magnavox console speakers

I have an old Magnavox console cabinet that still has the drivers in it. Do any of these have any value, or are they keepers for a future project? It has 12 inch woofers with square magnets marked

the woofers are made by cts, the tweeters are made by heppner. monetary value has to be discussed in the "dollars and sense" forum. i've been looking for an AU-7900 for a while to go with my TU-7900! i lived in choctaw beach for a while, as well as in villa tasso. are you the fellow who just sold a bunch of wharfedale drivers on that auction site?

I've used those same 12's in 'fullrange' applications, with a helper tweeter coming in around 5K Hz . . .

they have great midrange, but not much bass . . .

the horns are fun for DIY projects :yes:

Thanks lguise, I just wanted to make sure it did not have something special in it before the cabinet goes. The pirated 6V6GT amp sure sounds nice through some DIY Goodmans (Axiom/Trebax). The AU 7900 is a very warm sounding amp. My oldest son has that one in his apt with a TU 3900 and JBL L100's...And yes I did just part out a couple of pairs of Wharfedales that the cabs were just too far gone to mess with. Although I still have a pair of old W70's and later W 60d's...

Hifi, probably not, but the woofers sound good in guitar amps, as most CTS or Jensen OEM'd speakers do.
