Magnavox Console Stereo

I picked up a Magnavox Astro Sonic console stereo a while ago and some of the speaker wires were disconnected, removed and possibly connected wrong.I downloaded some schematics and photos from the Sam's website but there aren't any speaker wiring diagrams with it. It's a Kronborg model.

You can find the schematics and wiring diagrams online but you really need the chassis number of the amplifier. Mid-60's model I would assume it's a solid state amp. Chassis # would be stamped on the top or side. Get a flashlight and provide some more info.

You are giving us very little to work with......at least need a model number to be able to take a look. The crossover looks like it is disconnected. The plastic part shows me a "C" which would be the common (ground). I cant tell if any of the wires are connected to it.
Ha ha. Didn't realize there was anyone listening out there anyway, I posted that original post a while ago.I've had it hooked up for some time now. Downloaded a schematic from Sam's website Reconnecting the wires was pretty straightforward actually. I'm servicing the turntable and the tuner right now.

I would love to see pictures of what the chassis looks like- does this have a stand-alone amp chassis, or is it all in one combined tuner/amp chassis? I really like these germanium transistor amplifiers, they are interesting animals, and am gaining a lot of experience working on them.

There aren't many of us out here unless you're in the Magnavox group so responses are limited. Glad you have it working I switched out the ceramic cartridge and put in a Audio Technica magneted one going through a radio shack phono pre. There's so much room in the back I have it going though a nice EQ, Sounds nice IMHO

Consoles aren't ahigh-demand item due to their size, generally speaking. If its fully functional, that's a bonus!
Welcome to AK, lots to see & learn here. :bigok:
