Maine Forest Rally Is coming up in just a few days!

[birddog]

If any of the New England AK'ers have never seen a Rally race before, you should check it out! Great people, great fun, beautiful scenery, and of course, RALLY CARS! Starts off July 12th with a meet & greet, with Rally cars on display, at Sunday River, with racing all weekend after that, as well as other things to see and do. You owe it to yourself to go see a Rally event at least once in your life!

And for you moto-cross fans, the rally this year will have a couple of names you may recognize behind the wheel..... Travis Pastrana and Kenny Bartram are both fielding entries. I heard something about the race being some kind of qualifying event for the X-Games, so that would explain their entry.

Car # 199 97.65 Travis Pastrana / Bjorn Edstrom- 06 Subaru Impreza WRX STI

car #690 Kenny Bartram / Dennis Hotson -04 Subaru WRX STi

I don't think I'll make it this year.... but maybe another AK'er will see this thread, and make the trip! Nothing like standing next to a gravel logging road when a WRX STI goes by you sideways at full throtle! YEE HAA!
